Sure Eddie, I can understand your concern over your dryer not having any heat. Is this an electric dryer? If so, try turning the breaker off for about 5 minutes. Electric dryers will run on two breaker: one runs the dryer, the other runs the heating of the dryer. It may be two smaller breakers connected or one large breaker. This action will reboot your unit back to it's factory settings. I will forward your question to an expert who will investigate the matter further and get back to you. You will hear from them within two business days if not sooner. Until you hear from us, have a nice day.

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your dryer model 11073022100; sorry you are having a heating problem. There could be several reasons for not heat from the dryer, and you will need to inspect and test the components to determine the cause. The most common cause of no heat in a gas dryer is the igniter coil going bad and not igniting the flame when heat is called for.  That should be your starting point (check for voltage to the burner assembly at the connection (there are only two wires to the burner assembly and you should read 120 volts ac between the two wires.)  If there is power to the burner assembly the problem will be the igniter, sensor or coils. If there is no power to the burner assembly you will need to trace the heating circuit and find the open component or wire. I have attached a diagram below that will help. You will need a high quality volt/ohm meter to test the circuits and components.   _Always disconnect power supply before servicing the appliance and when testing live voltage be sure to wear proper safety equipment (gloves and eye protection) also be aware of sharp metals on product_ I hope this helps, if you need additional help reply with added details and I will be happy to respond. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.Ron H.

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your dryer. There could be one of several different possible component failures preventing your gas dryer from heating. I added an image below with the wiring diagram so that you can see the electrical circuit between the timer and the burner assembly. Starting at the timer, timer switch must close in order to provide the voltage. The voltage must pass through the thermal fuse, operating thermostat, high limit thermostat, and flame sensor and to the igniter. If any one of these components fails, the igniter will not glow and the gas valve will not open. All of these components are access by removing the lower access panel located below the dryer door. Each one of these components will need to be disconnected one at a time and tested for continuity with an ohm meter. After removing the lower access panel, start the dryer and watch the burner assembly to see if the glow bar igniter is glowing red or not. If you find the igniter glowing red and then fading back off without any burner ignition, the likely failure is the solenoid coils mounted on top of the gas valve. If the igniter is not glowing then each one of the components connected and wired in series between the timer and burner assembly will need to be tested for continuity. Whichever component tests open or no continuity, replace that component. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before disconnecting and testing each component for continuity. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Hi Clinton,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I do not have enough details in order to be able to say what is causing the breaker to trip. If the dryer runs for any length of time before the breaker trips would most likely indicate a weak breaker. If the breaker trips immediately after starting it could indicate a direct short to ground. You did not state what size breaker it is. The diagnosis of this issue will require the use of an ohm/volt meter and you will have to perform ohm checks and/or live voltage checks. If you have an ohm/volt meter and are confident in your technical abilities, please reply below and I will be happy to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Clinton, From your description it is most likely the motor, but the only way to properly diagnose this is with a multimeter with an amp clamp. If you have a meter and are confident in your ability to safely perform these checks, reply to this post and I will be happy to assist you further. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please reply to this post. Landell
