Question and Answers

Q:

I am not getting as through the gas burner on an eite seras gas dryer 11073012102

A:

Good morning.... I can fully understand your confusion. Igniters have to reach a certain temp before the gas valve will release the gas. You may have an igniter that glows but if it doesn't get hot enough no gas is released. I did locate a link that will discuss this situation in greater detail. Though this link discusses a different model number, the mechanics are likely going to be very similar. Keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and instruction. I hope this link will help guide you as to what might be wrong with your stove and have a nice day.

Having the dryer go out is frustrating. I realize the whole point of getting one is to avoid those annoying visits to a laundromat. There a few things to check when the ignitor works, but the gas burner never fully lights. First you will need to check if the vent and/or the internal ductwork is clogged. Your dryer has a sensor that tells the dryer to heat to a specific temperature. Once that temperature is reached, the coils will open the gas valve and let the dryer heat up. Once the dryer reaches a high limit of the cycle, it will cool down until it hits that lower temperature range. It will cycles like this until the sensor determines the clothes are dryer enough. If the vent is clogged, the dryer never reaches the proper temperature. So the clothes will spin, but never get dried.  If the ductwork and vents are clear, then it is likely the dryer coils are failing. When they receive full voltage from the sensor, they open the gas valve. If the ignitor works, but the dryer still doesn't heat up, these need to be looked at.

There are also several safety features on your dryer that you should check. There is a thermal fuse in the dryer, and two thermostats (the internal bais and the high limit). If one of these has gone out, the dryer will not heat again until it is replaced.

I have included the links to the diagrams and where the parts are located. Hopefully this will help you locate the parts you need to check. Once you determine what you need, you can order right form the link I gave you.

On model 11073012102
