Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having a problem with your Kenmore 110.70702990 gas dryer

The most likely cause of the problem is a bad push to start switch

A easy way to confirm the push to start switch is the cause of the problem is to remove one of the wires from the switch.  If the dryer doesn't start with the wire off then the start switch is the problem.  If the dryer starts then the motor switch is likely at fault.

Caution: Before attempting any repair, unplug the dryer from the wall.

The push to start switch can be accessed by removing the rear panel to the console.

You may have two problems instead of one. The dryer should start even if the ignitor is bad. Try the Air Only cycle and see if the dryer will start and continue to run when the start button is released. If the dryer starts the the push to start switch is okay. If it doesn't continue to run when the start button is released then the motor may be at fault. The start switch on this model only has two wires and is a momentary switch. I hope this helps. Let me know what happens in the Air Only cycle and we'll determine the next step.
