Plug the dryer in and check to see if the motor will start when you press in on the push-to-start switch. If the motor runs while you hold in that switch then the circuit traced in blue and light blue on the wiring diagram shown below is okay. If the motor does not run, then you could have a broken drive belt or a problem with that door switch. Check the drive belt. Since you indicated that the thermal fuse is good, I assume that you can check that door switch for continuity. If both of those components are okay, you could have a wiring failure in the circuit, a bad timer or a failed drive motor.

If the dryer will run with the push-to-start button held in, then you could have a start sense wiring failure, a bad motor relay or a failed electronic control board.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website.

These tips may help you with this dryer failure. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

This can sometimes be a difficult failure to diagnose and repair. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

A:

The drive belt usually isn't the cause of a struggling motor. I recommend that you unplug the dryer and check the drive belt and other drive components before ordering parts. Here is an image that shows how to open the cabinet in that type of dryer: http://s10.postimg.org/4721m8k15/dott_dryer_drum_removal_edited.jpg
