A:

When an electric dryer suddenly stops working the usual suspect is the thermal fuse located on the the blower housing behind the rear panel.  The image below may be helpful to you.

Caution: Before attempting any repair, unplug the dryer from the wall. 

The thermal fuse can be checked for continuity with a meter.  If no meter is available then  the fuse can be bypassed for a moment to check if it is the problem.  Another choice would be to just replace the fuse and hope it is the problem.  The fuse is not very expensive and would be worth a try if a meter is not available.
