Question and Answers

Q:

Dryer Won't Heat 11068712894 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer will not heat up. I did look into the model number you have provided, and I have found information to assist you.

The timer contacts control the dryer motor as well as the heat circuit. A defect in the timer’s electrical contacts can cause the dryer to stop producing heat and the timer will need to be replaced. The contacts can be checked for continuity with a multi-meter. Unplug the dryer before conducting this test.

The timer would be the last part that would cause your unit not to heat.

The timer should measure 125/250 volts and 60hz.

Q:

Dryer Seal 11068712894 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the dryer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Dryer model number 110.68712894.

My two guesses is the rear drum seal or the drum support rollers that has rubber pieces on it that wears out and will cause the drum some noise and rough to turn.  You have noticed the rear seal and that is the best place to start then but you need to look at and feel the rollers also.
