Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The scraping noise could be caused from a small hard object stuck between the front or rear drum seals and bulkheads. It could also be a worn drum support roller or shaft, something stuck in the blower housing or it could be the belt idler pulley.

You will need to remove the drum and inspect the front and drum seals, idler pulley and the drum support rollers and shaft for wear. I added images below to reference how to access and remove the drum.

Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks. I was able to take the drum out and replace the rollers and pulley as well as the belt and it seems to work fine now. There was a missing triangle plastic piece that holds the pulley in place.

I know that is can be difficult to have your dryer not working properly. The belt is a very easy do it yourself project. Below you will find image of the instructions on how to open the dryer and how to change the belt. Please unplug the dryer before servicing it. While you have the dryer open, I would suggest you vaccum out any lint. This will prevent a fire from starting.

If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread.
