Q:

dryer not heating 11066962501 Kenmore Elite Residential dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dyer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your dryer malfunction, after researching model number 110.6696250.  There can be a few reasons for the dryer not heating. Here are some parts to check for to see if it resolves the issue. first check the thermal fuse. This is located on the blower housing. In time the fuse will blow or if there is an excessive amount of lint. There is also a thermistor which is located in the same area as the fuse. The other part is going to be the heating element itself. If there is any visible burn marks on the element than it will need replacing. Below I have linked some information on how to test the parts to figure out which one will need replacing.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is work to do on the dryer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Dryer model number 11066962501.

The  lint duct is on the picture below.   You are I believe asking about removing what the lint screen goes into.   I see it as Key number 45.   The picture below will show it to  you and the screws that need to be removed.after you take off the lower panel.   To take off the lower panel just slide a putty knife in on the spring clips.  They are about 3 inches in on each side.
