Q:

how do i change the thermo fuse and thermostat? all videos show a different back than the one on my dryer. i have Kenmore elite dryer 11066962500 11066962500 Kenmore Elite Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon research model number 11066962500; the back does not have a panel to remove. This unit has a bottom access panel under the door. There is a gap in-between the door panel and the access panel. You will need something flat like a putty knife to push in the gap. On the left and right side are two clips. Once the two clips are depressed you can remove the panel and gain access to the thermal fuse and thermostat. I linked the diagram below. The two clips are number 46 in the diagram.

Q:

Levels of heat in dryer drum 11066962500 Kenmore Elite Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model 11066962500; the dryer will not be able to stay at a set heat. The dryer will get to a certain temperature then cut off. Once the temp lowers it will turn back on. That’s why you will see a certain temperature range. The unit can also build up heat that’s why you will sometimes see higher temps in the low.

Q:

Drum light and dryer stop on door opening 11066962500 Kenmore Elite Dryer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your dryer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 11066962500 and the problem you are describing I would suspect that the door switch is the problem. When the door is open the door switch will kill the power which also will not allow the light to turn on. The light will only turn on when the door is opened and the dryer stops. If the dryer is not stopping the switch is stuck. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you. Here is a link that will help with troubleshooting.
