Looking at your model number 110.66822694.   What will cause the problem is the timer switch that runs it from start to end and all the cycles.   I have inclued a link for the timer in the exact part that you need.

Thank you for submitting your question. Thank you for submitting your question. You're dryer is 29". It sounds like the heating element (279838 ) is shorting against the metal case causing the element to partially stay on the complete cycle. This causes the dryer to run too hot on all cycles including air only. The only way to test this type of symptom is to first disconnect power , remove the lower front panel and check the heating element. If you have a meter you can check for continuity to ground from each empty element terminal. Going across the two terminals should ohm out between 7.8 to 11.8. Another possibility is the operating thermostat (3387134) not functioning properly. You can also test the thermostat (key #42) with the ohms meter, you'll want to get a reading of zero ohms. You can order all parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance with this repair. I know how important it is to have your dryer working properly. Based on the information you supplied the symptom indicates a motor issue. It sounds like the motor is overheating and shutting off on the built in motor thermal protector. Once the motor cools down the thermal protector will reset and will run again until the thermal protector opens and shuts the motor off again. The motor could be covered in lint causing it to overheat too.

The failure is likely the motor unless there is friction issue with the drum rotating. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
