Q:

Dryer won't run unless start button is being pushed. 11066712694

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer will not work properly.

The good news is if the dryer runs when the start button is pressed then the timer, motor and door switch are all okay.

Pull one wire off of the start switch (with the dryer unplugged) and check for continuity across the leads of the switch with a volt/ohm meter. you should read infinite resistance (open) when the button is not pressed. you should measure continuity (near zero ohms of resistance with the button pushed. if it has continuity whether it is pressed or not, then the start switch will need to be replaced.

If the start switch is okay, then you can check the motor relay in a similar manner. pull one blue wire off of the motor relay and check the continuity across the leads that the blue wires attach to. if you find continuity through these leads, then the motor relay is stuck closed and will need to be replaced.
