Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore Dryer Model 1106607711 need to change light bulb

A:

Removing light covers and replacing bulbs sounds simple enough. I did some quick research at this site and found lots of answers for removing lights inside dryers. I did not find one to match your dryer and the others were very model specific. The expert will be able to help though. I did find the schematics and parts list for your model at Sears Parts Direct and attached below in case parts are needed.

A:

This is an older unit and I believe you will access the light bulb by removing the rear panel.

The images below will show how to raise the top which may allow access and how to remove the back panel.

Remember to unplug the unit first.

I believe with the back removed you will have access to the light.

Q:

Why won't my Kenmore dryer model 110.6607711 heat properly?

A:

This type of problem is normally caused by weak gas valve coils. The other components in the heating circuit are apparently okay since the burner initially ignites.

The gas valve coils for this model of Kenmore dryer are no longer available according to the parts information in our system. It is likely that you will need to replace the dryer instead of repairing it.
