Hi,

Thank you for your question, and I would like to answer the question this way.
The model is easy to get the front panel off but the lower toe panel is where you need to be to clean the lint from inside the dryer.
First thing is to disconnect the dryer from the wall outlet. Take a small screw dryer or I recommend a putty knife and press down the clip as shown in the pictures. Clean out the bottom and replace the panel. Do not remove any wires or remove any covers as this sometimes leads to the service technician coming out and replacing the wires correctly to get the unit to operate.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this entry below.
Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

I woul like to open the bottom access panel to clean the lint out of the lower chamber. Do not want to damage the removal panel. Does it simply pry off? 110.66002010

Q:

how do I troubleshoot a kenmore dryer wont start? 11066002010

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Dryer, Model: 110.66002010. From reviewing the details on your model, If the dryer is getting the proper voltage I suspect the thermal fuse has failed. The thermal fuse is connected a series circuit with the voltage supply to the motor. If the thermal fuse fails, the drum light will work but the dryer will not start. The thermal fuse is located behind the panel at the rear of the dryer. The thermal fuse is mounted on the blower housing. The thermal fuse can be disconnected and tested for continuity with an Ohm meter.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the dryer to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.
