The reason I ask is because the model number is not pulling up in our system. I did do research and I have found general information on how to change the door switch on your Kenmore. this step "Remove the screws located on both sides of the top control panel using a screwdriver" is where I'm not sure. There are two screws on each side but they are n the back of the dryer - top left and right

the video is not the same "look" as my model. There are no end caps, so can I assume I can use the tool to pop open the back. The manual does not describe how to open the top plate, so it's of no use. I'm afraid to force anything.

Hello Zbigniew. Thank you for providing the images of your console. I apologize the video didn't help. Looking at the images you provided, they do not show that you have end caps. You should just be able to slide a putty knife under both corners of the console and lift up to release the tabs. Then you would flip the console up and back. Remove the torx screws on the corner of the lid and slide it back. I found another video that should help. I provided it in the link below. If it does not help, please respond to this thread with the complete model number of your dryer. The model you provide is not being recognized in the system as a valid model number and the model number I found that did pull up a dryer does not match what your images are showing. I hope this information helps you today. For further assistance, please respond to this thread. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
