Question and Answers

Q:

Why does my dryer keep cutting off? 110.64672400

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore dryer model 110.64672400. I am so sorry it only runs for a few minutes and then shuts off. I know how frustrating that must be when you are trying to finish the laundry. I will be happy to help you with this.

Because the dryer runs and heats, it sounds like there may be a blockage in the vent system. There are safety devices in the dryer that shut it down when the internal temperature gets too hot. That can happen if there is insufficient air flow. A good way to check is to turn the dryer on and go to the vent where the dryer heat goes out of the house. If you do not have a steady flow of warm air coming out of the vent, there is a blockage that needs to be cleaned out.
I have included the link below for our dryer repair guide. You may find some helpful tips to narrowing down this issue if it isn’t the venting.

SAFETY WARNING: Disconnect the power supply before beginning your repair to prevent the risk of electrical shock which can result in property damage, serious personal injury or even death. If you are not comfortable completing this repair, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

Disable Buzzer on Kenmore Dryer 11064672400 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your

From the information you have provided above, after researching model number 110.64672400. Disconnect power before attempting access. The buzzer isn’t apart of the circuit and shouldn’t give you any issue. You need to disconnect the 2 wires from the timer going to the buzzer. However, leave the buzzer mounted in position incase later you decide to reconnect it. Be sure to use electrical tape on the loose connectors you just removed.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

dryer stops when button released 11064672400 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model 11064672400; you can test the start switch for continuity using a multi meter, if the test reads continuity then the switch is more than likely  not the problem. If the switch reads no continuity then it may need to be replaced. The motor on this dryer may need to be replaced if the switch is not the problem. There is an internal motor part that will allow the motor to run after the start switch is released, so when that internal part of the motor fails it can cause the dryer to shut off after the start button is released.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.
