Question and Answers

Q:

How exactly to remove top lid of Lady Kenmore dryer model 1106408900?

A:

You do not have to remove the console to raise the top on this dryer.

Remove the lint screen completley and you will see two screws that will need to be removed. Be careful the screws don't fall down the lint chute when removing them.

With a putty knife you will push in and release the two clips that hold the top down. The clips are located about 2 inches in from the front corners. There is a seam between the top panel and the front panel that the putty knife will fit into. Push in on the clips and lift up on the top. It is hinged in the rear and should open.

I hope this answers your question but if you have additional questions then submint another question with additional details.

Q:

Why is the tumbler not rotating on my Kenmore dryer?

A:

It sounds like the drum belt has broken or has come off of the motor pulley. You will need to remove the lower front service panel & inspect to see if the drum belt has come off.

Q:

Why does the blower work but the drum does not turn on my Lady Kenmore electric dryer model 110.6408900?

A:

This dryer has 2 belts, one for the blower and one for the drum, and the most likely problem is a broken drum or drive belt.

The part number for the belt is 337019 and while I have no information on local parts suppliers in your area the part can be ordered online from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

The back of the dryer should come off for access but remember to unplug the power cord before servicing.

I hope this information is helpful resolving your problem but if you have any additional questions then submit another question with additional details for further assistance.
