Hi Marc,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

You most likely have a bad console assembly. I am including the testing information for this dryer in the images below. This will help you decide between the console and control board. Follow the testing information and replace the part as suggested at the end of testing sheet.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here, and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

From the description you give I assume there is no display.

Does the drum light work?

Even if the door switch is bad the display should still light up.

Check the wiring diagram below for more on this.

If there is voltage from the black to white wire then the console/interface may be the problem.

Only check live voltage is you have a meter and are comfortable using it.

With the unit unplugged you can remove the top and access the control board. Check and make sure the P3 and P4 connections are okay.

I hope this information is helpful to you. You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
