Q:

how do i get the front service panel off my clothes dryer model 110.63012100

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with yourdryer. Upon researching model110.63012100; note: before you start to repair unplug the dryer power cord from the wall outlet.

1. Remove the lower access panel (service panel). There is 2 spring clips located about 4 inches in on each side. With a putty knife push it in and press down on the clips.

2. Drop the lower access panel out and lift it off from the hooks on the bottom.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your dryer model 110.63012100, I will be glad to assist you. Air flow restrictions can cause damage to the high limit thermostat and the thermal cut off. Now that you have discovered the blockage and corrected the problem you should not have any further issues. I would strongly suggest that you also clean your venting duct work all the way to the outside of your home before continuing to use of the dryer.   Cleaning the dryer is important and this should be done at least every six months.  The back does not come off all service in the drum area has to be completed through the front. _Always disconnect power supply before servicing the appliance and when testing live voltage be sure to wear proper safety equipment (gloves and eye protection) also be aware of sharp metals on product_ I hope this helps, if you need more help reply with details and I will be happy to respond. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services. Ron H.

Have done all that. We are wary about actually using it,though. Found repairman's parts from years ago. He had also replaced the other thermostat. Should we have replaced both? I would have rated your advice 5 stars, but as soon as I touched the stars on my iPad , it only took 2 and wouldn't take any more.

Hi anonymous: If you have done the cleaning there should be no concerns about using your dryer. There is no need to replace any part that is good, electrical parts are like a light bulb , when they fail you cnat prevent it. Ron H.
