Question and Answers

Q:

Dryer Will Not Heat 11062996100 Kenmore Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing sears, I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore electric dyer

Since you recently replaced the coil, the next steps you should take is checking the thermistor it’s a temperature sensor that is in a completely different circuit. It could prevent the dryer from heating. Two other parts to look into would be the high limit thermostat and the thermal cut-off fuse. The thermal fuse and hi limit thermostat are most common parts to replace when there is no heat. If these parts are damaged this will not allow the dryer to blow hot air although you replaced the coil. Check and see if the parts look fried or broken.

I hope you found this information helpful. Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. We appreciate your business

Q:

my dryer won't stay on unless I hold the button down, is this repairable?

A:

Having to hold down the button on your dryer sounds inconvenient and I know how important it is to have a good working dryer so that you can keep your washed clothes nice and clean. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I suggest you add to the thread of this question and include the full model number of your dryer so that the expert can provide you with a more detailed answer. I did manage to find a link that will provide you with some information about what may be causing your problem. I hope my link is useful.
