Q:

Dryer does not get hot. 11095087402

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dyer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your dryer malfunction, after researching model number 110.62942100.  There can be a few reasons for the dryer not heating. Here are some parts to check for to see if it resolves the issue. First check the thermal fuse. This is located on the blower housing. In time the fuse will blow or if there is an excessive amount of lint. There is also a thermistor which is located in the same area as the fuse. The other part is going to be the heating element itself. If there is any visible burn marks on the element than it will need replacing.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business, have a great day.

*Safety disclaimer before you try and repair the unit make sure the power supply is disconnected. There may be sharp parts to the unit that can cause injury to you if not careful. If you don’t not feel comfortable checking this yourself you can request a technician by visiting www.SearsHomeService.com*
