Q:

dryer runs but no heat 11062822101 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dryer.

From the information you have provided above, I would suggest checking the timer. The timer contacts control the dryer motor as well as the heat circuit. A defect in the timer’s electrical contacts can cause the dryer to stop producing heat and the timer will need to be replaced. The contacts can be checked for continuity with a multi-meter. Unplug the dryer before conducting this test. This is just another part to check on, in the situation you’re in it might be a good idea to have a technician out to diagnose exactly what the issue is. If you would like to set up service call 1-8004MY-HOME.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

dryer runs, but no heat 11062822101 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer will not heat.

If the dryer is not heating you could be experiencing an issue with the thermal fuse (3392519), operating thermostat (3977767), high limit thermostat or the thermal cut-off. If you have an ohms/volt meter you can test these parts for the proper continuity. To test the parts, disconnect both wires from the components and test them at room temperature. The ohms reading for these components should be zero ohms. If the high limit thermostat is faulty, then replace the thermal cut-off as well and vice versa. They two components work together and come as a kit (279816). If they component listed above test good, then the issue may be with the heating element (279838) and I recommend testing it as well. You'll want to get a reading of 7.8 - 11.8 ohms for it to test good.
