The first responder has the wrong model, please disregard that information.

The source of the type of noise like your describing will be coming from the drum rollers, idler pulley, motor or front drum support. The only way to diagnose the noise problem is by removing the tumbler. I have found a link that has your specific model of dryer showing complete step by step access instructions. Once you get the drum out get back with us if you're unable to locate the failed component causing the constant squealing noise you described.

Remember to disconnect power to the dryer before attempting access.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others. Please click on the link below.

I have similar situation. I've removed drum, inspected rollers, vacuumed lint, etc. I hear screeching when I turn the motor shaft. I'm trying to remove motor. I got the front and rear retaining clips off, motor has play, but seems attached to plastic fan/blower. How do I release shaft from fan? Thx.
