Question and Answers

Q:

My dryer stopped working and I cannot find the part I may need. 11060907990 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the Kenmore dryer, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.
I agree, I think the thermal fuse is a strong possibility for this symptom and issue. It could also be caused by the motor switch/relay being defective. Also, if you have an abundance of lint within the lint chute, it could be causing the fuse to trip, so it's worth checking and cleaning before replacing it or it could happen again fairly quickly.
To help you with the fuse, I pulled up your model number and obtained the thermal fuse part number, which is 3390719. I see this as the original fuse for the unit, so it will be an exact match to what you currently have.

Thanks for the help. I think I pulled out the wrong part because what I took out looks nothing like that. I think I broke the connections on the part I took out. Luckily we found a new w/d set and we'll just be replacing this old model. Thanks again.

dryer is over heating 11060907990 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank You for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com. I do apologize for the delay in answering your question.

Based on the information you have provided you may have a problem with the timer. How long each cycle runs. If your using the "More dry" function, try switching to a timed dry to see if it still stops before the cycle is over.
Please let me know what you find.

I look forward to working with you.

This particular dryer doesn't use a resistor in the circuit.

It uses a control board 8558178 which is pricey at $130 dollars. I'd suggest checking the wires on the control first and see if any seem loose. The image below may help you with this.

Remember to unplug the dryer first.

You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.
