Q:

Kenmore Elite 11060052990 only putting out damp clothes 11060052990

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dryer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your dryer malfunction, after researching model number 110.60052990. First, have you checked your venting system? Remove the lint screen and clean it with soap and warm water. If the vent system is restricted it will cause long dry times too. I recommend taking the vent hose off at the rear of the dryer and dry one load using time dry. If it dries the clothes in a normal amount of time that would indicate a venting issue and it needs to be cleaned. If it still took too long to dry you could have thermistor, heater relay or control board issue.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

That link for a previous answer provides some tips for checking the door switch on a dryer. You could have an intermittent problem with that door switch that would prevent the motor from running. I recommend that you check that issue when the dryer won't start. You can also use the diagnostic test mode that is shown in the second image below to check that door switch if necessary. Once you enter that test mode, opening and closing the door should result in a beep each time the status of the door switch changes (open or closed). If that door switch is bad, then it will need to be replaced.

You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Dryer Model 110.60052990 Parts . Be sure that you unplug the dryer before accessing internal components.

The wiring diagram for your dryer is shown in the image below with the drive motor circuit traced in blue. A loose wiring connection in that circuit could also prevent the motor from running. I recommend that you unplug the dryer and check the wiring connections if you suspect that you have that type of problem.

The problem with the control board could be caused by a bad user interface control. The second image shows a test for that console. If the console is not is not working properly then you can perform further testing as shown in the third image. Be sure that you unplug the dryer before accessing internal components.

The 4th image below shows how to access components in the dryer.

This information should help you resolve those dryer problems. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Hello Bob,

I'm sorry that the dryer is beeping at you and stuck on one cycle. I will be happy to advise you on this issue. There is a very high probability that this is just a stuck or malfunctioning button on the keypad of this dryer. There are times that the ribbon cable that is between the user interface (buttons) and the main electronic control is the cause of the issue. In a most cases, the control is replaced and it comes with a new ribbon cable.

This will require disassembling the control panel. If you would like, I can advise you on the repair.

Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.
