I'm getting F21, sometimes SUDS (even if there is no soap), I have even gotten F22. The washer will not finish a cycle - usually kicks to F21.

Hi Ron,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your washer.

The F21 and f22 are probably not related.

The F22 indicates a long drain. This is most likely caused by a blockage in the drain pump or hoses. But, it can also be caused by (as you mentioned) using too much soap. If you are sure that the soap is not the issue I recommend checking the drain lines and the drain pump first. I am including images below that will demonstrate how to gain access to the drain pump and check the filter. Once you have cleaned the filter and checked the pump and hoses, run the diagnostic routine and see if the washer will function. The information for the diagnostics is also in an image below.

The F22 is a door lock issue. Check the door lock mechanism for looseness and make sure the latching mechanism will move freely. The diagnostics will test it as well.

Please perform the diagnostic tests detailed here and report back with your findings. I am looking forward to assisting you again in the near future.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
