Washing machine giving code F-24 model #11047566602

An error code can be concerning because you don't know what type of repair your going to need or how expensive its going to be. I researched your question and found someone was also experiencing the same error code. I have provided the link below. I hope this helps!

The F24 indicates that the machine control board detects a water temperature sensor reading that is out of range. This is normally caused by a bad temperature sensor. The technical information for this failure is shown in the image below. You can unplug the washer and check the resistance of the temperature sensor with a volt/ohm meter. The sensor is on the back of the tub in this model (Key 24 in the parts image below). You will need to shut off the water supply, remove the fill hoses and remove the back panel to access this component (with the washer unplugged ). At room temperature, the sensor should read about 12K to 15K ohms (12,000 to 15,000 ohms). If the sensor is bad, it will need to be replaced. You can order a new sensor from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the sensor is 8181705.

If the sensor is within the normal resistance range then you could have a bad wiring harness, a wiring connection problem or a bad machine control board. Reply with additional details if you need more assistance.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
