Question and Answers

Q:

Is error code F11 related to hole in drain? 11047566600 Kenmore Residential washers

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer displays an error code.

 F11 is
The Motor Control Unit has internal failure; repeating under or over voltage, or over current conditions. If failure occurs during high-speed spin the door unlocks after 3 minutes.

Possible Causes / Procedure
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor the and Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). Check the motor and do a continuity test.
3. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
4. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive
motor.
5. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
6. Replace MCU board.

I recommend checking for loose wire connections at the MCU, CCU and motor. If you do not get any motor action at all, the MCU has likely failed.

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when you need the washer and this code F30 comes up.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F30" will display when the dispenser motor cannot be driven to its proper position. Sometimes the dispenser motor will stall out and not operate. Sometimes you can manually attempt to rotate the motor shaft slowly and it will begin to operate again. I added an image below showing how to run a quick diagnostic test along with a program chart which will indicate what the washer is supposed to do. When in it's in the test and displays C:02; the dispenser motor should operate and stop at the pre-wash position.

Possible Causes/Procedure:

  1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
  2. Remove the screws along the back of the top and remove the top to access the dispenser motor.
  3. Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser.
  4. Check wire harness connections to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit (CCU).
  5. Check dispenser motor for powered rotations

If you have further questions please let me know.
Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

The drain pump does come up as part number W10130913 but the wiring harness number I get is W10184856. This could be the reason the harness you have will not fit. The W10184856 harness is a substitute for the origianal harness number 8540524.
