No, what is frustrating is calling sears customer service which refer me to this site for help. The only response I get is telling me to contact a Sears technician. If I wanted to do that do you think I would have taken the time to go through the details above? This Mickey-Mouse help site is for a company that has substandard customer service. Im done with sears. Thank you for nothing.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your washer. First check the Power Cord connection on the Line Filter and Make sure they are not reversed. L1 to the L terminal and Neutral to the N terminal. Gain access to the Central Control Board (CCU) and locate the MS2 connector. I have included images below that will demonstrate these procedures. You MUST HAVE your meter leads already in place on the connector before you press Start or the voltage will drop off of the relay before you can make checks which will lead you to and incorrect diagnosis.

With a Volt meter check for 120 VAC across MS2- pin 1 to MS2- pin 2 while starting a cycle.

If there is 120 VAC at this point the door lock switch is good if there is no Voltage at this point, then check Door Lock Switch.

Next gain access to the Motor Control Board [MCU]. There is a Green or White Connector with Two Pink wires.

Check for 120 VAC while starting a cycle; remember you must be ready to make the checks before starting cycle. If there is 120 VAC at this point the Motor control Board is getting 120 VAC.

If there is no 120 VAC then check the Two Pink wires for Bad connections or breaks in the wires.

Next check the MI3 the serial communication Connector from the CCU to the MCU between Pin 1 and Pin 3 for 5 VDC while starting a cycle. Also make sure the connector is not upside down the wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors.

Again you must be ready to make checks before starting the Cycle. If there is any delay the relay may open before the Tech makes his checks.

Remember to check the RAST connectors for pins pushed up or poor connections. You will need to remove the connector and visually inspect it. Also, you need to ohm out the wires.

Remove the Grounding Switches and inspect for corrosion or poor connections.

Also Ohm out the grounding Switches. Make sure the Panels are not bent and are making good contact with the grounding switches.

The Ground Switches are normally open when Panels are in place and closed when panels are removed. This is opposite of what one would normally assume.

If it is a Model that has a Heater; the ground on Heater is in series with the ground switches so if there is a Heater present check the ground on Heater also. Check the ground on the Drive motor and Tub Hub ground.

Remember to check the resistor on the Motor Control Board it will either read Open or Closed. If you are still having issues determining the problem, I would recommend that you schedule service for this. Just click on this link to do so: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I am having the same problem, and at this point am ready to go at it with a sledgehammer. The grand part is your wonderful explanation, but your incredibly horrid images. You can't see them, you can't save them as tiff's so they can be magnified into a viewable and legible piece of information, and have made me even more angry than the large expensive piece of machinery that is now a hulking suck-hole of money. Could you possibly give a link to the images that makes them LARGE, LEGIBLE, and a TIFF file so that they can be printed so I don't have to lug my desktop across the house to the washing machine?? Thank you! That would improve a bad situation. Maybe.

I do apologize the photos that were posted were from a technical manual, in which, we are not able to send Tiff files. I have responded to your other thread and provided a youtube video that will help check those parts.
