I have to extend my previous frustration to my original post, after reading the reply. The reply was completely and utterly useless. I HAVE been to the site and I HAVE searched everywhere for detailed information on removing the specific CCU. THAT is why I wrote the post, because the information was non-existent, hence my complaint that there is not enough information available. The whole point of my post was to request SPECIFIC direction, such as a direct link, to details about removing this CCU. Giving me a general reply about visiting searspartsdirect.com just means that you either do not know where the information is, or even if it exists, or are unwilling to locate it, thinking that a general "middle finger" point in the .com page direction is sufficient. You can tell from my reply that it is not. This is EXACTLY what I mean when I say Sears is TOO BIG. You don't care, your supervisor does not care, his supervisor does not care. Somewhere in the company is one guy who really does care but have not clue as to what is going wrong. This reminds me of the scathing email Bill Gates wrote to his support department of Microsoft, after he tried to use the online self-help service himself, only to realize that the department was nothing more than a joke, something that he should have know 10 years earlier, but that everyone else DID know. Listen, you know what I need. If you can't give me the help that I need, then I will gladly take my business elsewhere and plant a one-star rating in my head for Sears.

Q:

My tub is filling with water when the unit is off and not being used. 11047081600 Kenmore Elite Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11047081600; there could be an issue with the control board. The control board signals the valve to open and close. The valve wouldn’t be able to activate by itself. Electronic boards are sensitive to static electricity. I recommend calling our repair department to have a tech diagnose the board.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

F20 11047081600 Kenmore Elite Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how you would need to know what the F20 code on your washer means. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found that F20 means that the control did not see any water enter the tub.
There is a flow meter that tells the control water is coming into the washer. If the flow meter is faulty the error usually happens quickly.

There is a pressure switch and the clear plastic hose may be kinked or even have a small hole in it. One thing to try is to remove the top of the washer and then pull the hose off the pressure switch and blow through it towards the tub to check for obstructions in the air dome.

The drain hose should not be stuck down the standpipe to far. If the drain hose is stuck down the standpipe a siphon action ca occur. This means the water would fill and drain at the same time which might lead to the F20 error.

Check the drain line first and then remove the top of the washer to access the pressure switch and pressure hose. With the washer empty remove the hose from the pressure switch located on the right side of the washer and blow through it to clear any debris blocking the pressure hose or air trap.

If this doesnt help then you will most likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Let me know if this helps. Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
