Question and Answers

Q:

REPALCING OUTER TUB ON FRONT LOADER 110.45088401

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your washer. Upon researching mode 110.45088401; the front is used for support. Too much movement usually indicates an issue with the rear bearing. The basket has a shaft on the back that goes through a bearing that is pressed into the rear tub. Pull the basket towards the front of the machine. Good bearings would not allow it to move.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

Replacing a Front Washer Bellow 110.45088401

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when having to work on the washer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore washer model number  110.45088401.

Everything can be changed from the front.

1.  There is an outter clamp, key 14 on the pic below.   Just need to take a needle nose pliers, pinch it, grab down a little and turn it, then pull it out.

2.  Unscrew the inside clamp which is key number 6.

3.   Pull the old bellows gasket out.

(take a look at your clamps inner and outer.   IF rusted or damaged in any way then may want to replace those also to remain a tight seal.

4.  Push new gasket seal in and then inner clamp tighten down.

5.  Put on the outer clamp and ready to go.
