Kenmore Washer Model 110.42182201 11042182201 Kenmore Automatic washer

Q:

Wet clothes after the regular cycle or drain/spin cycle... 11042182201 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11042182201; it could be a clog in the drain hose. If it’s not draining all the way the water it will end up spinning it into the clothes. It could be the pump is clogged and not draining all the way. It’s going to be best to start with the drain system.

Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

Thanks but not helpful........my problem is that it stopped spinning.....after research i thought it would be the motor coupling...turns out my machine has no motor coupling that i can find anywhere (online or on machine or in manual). i took the belt off the pulley assembly and turned on the machine. the motor was able to work properly at this point. so it would seem that it runs fine under no load but when under stress with a load it will not spin. lid switch is fine. thats all i know at this time thanks for any help

I can most likely help you with this problem but a few more details would be helpful. If the washer will fill or agitate then the lid switch and motor are most likely okay. Can you hear anything in the spin cycle? Do you hear the motor trying to run? You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.

One trick would be to remove the belt and see if the motor will run. This particular washer has a belt that is accessed by laying the machine down. Remember to unplug the washer first. I hope this helps.

A:

From the description you give I do suspect the motor is bad since it gets hot and will not run even though the pulleys turn freely.
