Hi,

Thank you for your question and for letting me assist you with your repair.

If the water is draining out of the basket then the motor is coming on and you have a problem with the transmission, clutch of the basket drive of the washer. Here is how the spin cycle works,
The motor reverses
The brakes are released by the clutch.
The drive tube turns and the basket is mounted to the drive tube with a block drive and secured with a spanner nut.
