Q:

washer will not fill on hot setting 11029422801 Kenmore Residential washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model11029422801; the water valve has two solenoids on it. One solenoid for the cold and one for hot. One of the solenoids could go out while the other is still functioning. The water valve could need to be replaced if it is not functioning properly.

Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

I'm having almost the same problem. My washer will fill normally when set on cold and warm settings. But when you want to use the hot water settings, the machine stops and will not fill with water, so I have no choice but to use either the cold or warm water settings. Someone told me it was the thermostat, is that correct? Thank you.

It can be something stuck in the water pump. Disconnect the water pump from the motor and start the washer and see if the motor start, if it does is something small stuck in the water pump, disconnect the hoses from the water pump and look inside the water pump, usually is a baby sock or a piece of stream. If you disconnect the water pump and the hums sounds still...I will said is something wrong with the motor.....
