Hi,

Thank you for asking this question and allow me to answer it this way.

The spin works like this
At the very beginning of spin only the drain pump is on. After a short while the timer pauses the motor and restarts the motor. This stoppage allows the gearcase to shift into spin and drain at the same time. If the basket does not seem to be spinning lift the lid and this will pause the washer, and close the lid and then it should spin. If this is the case it is the timer. Run the test and let me know the results please.

I hope this answer is useful and that it helps you correct the problem with your appliance.

Bill, Thank you for your advice. I did do some u-tube searches and found that laying the washer on it's back I can see the coupler. It was loose, so I removed the motor and found that the plastic had rounded out and the motor was spinning inside of it. Replaced the coupler and also the agitator dogs. The dogs were completely gone. After those two repairs, the machine works great. I guess when I had originally said the washer agitated, the coupler may have been on it's last leg and the agitator was moving, but not much. My mistake, thinking it was agitating. Thank you for the work you are doing and God Bless,
