Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer is not working properly.

If the washer is not spinning the water out of the clothes you may have a clutch issue.

Also when replacing the agitator dogs it is recommend to replace the complete set drive cam.

Q:

drum leaking 11028803890 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer drum is leaking.

Before replacing components check the following;

1. Vacuum break positioned correctly in the feature panel
2. Machine is level
3. Counter balance spring is attached correctly. Confirm correct counter balance spring is installed. The spring color should match the motor color (identified by diagonal stripes on the name plate). 3-speed motor should be green, 2-speed motor no color, 1-speed motor should be Blue.
4. Inspect the hose from inlet valve to vacuum break
5. Inspect drain hose connections to pump and tub
6. Tub condition; look for cracks in tub or other leak points.
7. Inspect inlet hoses
8. Tub ring clips – check that they are clipped in and not damaged
9. Inspect tub ring gasket
10. Check neutral drain is working correctly (not pumping out before spin).

I also recommend checking the centerpost bearing. The seals may be worn causing water to leak out.

285203 is the replacement centerpost bearing kit.

You will need to take the unit apart to determine where the leak is coming from .
