If the washer refills and stops then I'd start by checking the water level switch. If it fills and stops again try using a small piece of insulated wire to join the violet and tan wire. Remember to unplug the washer first. If the washer starts to agitate then the problem might be with the water level switch.

If it is not functioning it will not spin or agitate. I linked the diagram below the lid switch is number 9.
