Q:

My Kenmore Elite Oasis washer sounds like it has rocks in it

A:

Thank you for your question.  I will be happy to help. The symptoms seem to point to the pump. I would try clearing any debris from the pump filter first, clear any clogs from the drain hose from the tub to the pump and from the pump to the drain. Debris in the pump filter or the pump itself will cause the type of noise you are hearing. You may need to replace the pump. I would also check the drain  the washer is connected to.  It may be backing up.  You can see the parts breakdown and order any parts needed at Sears Parts Direct. If further help is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.

My washer had the same problem, except it was leaking from the bottom as well. I replaced the drain pump. There were pennies in it. It was also not running a cycle either. so now, when I try to run a cycle, some water goes in, but then it just sits there running, but no washing or anything. It just sounds like it is on, but nothing is happening. I havent seen a code, and I dont know how to run a diagnostic check. Nothing is clogged, and the water runs in fine.

Q:

Very loud tub fill 11028087700

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

The screens would be the best guess. Another thing is to make sure the water valves coming from the house are open all the way too. If it’s not the screens I would recommend replacing the water inlet valve. It sounds like the solenoids in the valve are not opening up all the way.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.
