Thank you for your question. That kind of noise from the washer would be a concern. This could be coins or some other object stuck under the basket or between the tubs. The image below can help you check for that possibility. Due to the level of noise and that this occurs in the spin cycle, I suspect it is most likely the bearings. There is a bearing kit #W10435302 available. You would also need a special tool, #W10447783 . It can be ordered at Sears Parts Direct . This does require a technician visit to order. You can schedule a technician at Sears Home Services .  If further help is needed, please reply.   Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Coins in the pump make a rattling sound as the washer empties as well as during the spin cycle. The pump is accessed from the rear and it may be necessary to loosen the pump to get the intake/outlet hoses off so you can insert a tool or finger to slide the coin up and push it out the outlet. Getting the hoses back on is a bit of a challange. This will take care of the noise but you still need to remove the basket in order to check for lost items (we found a small towel and undies, the cause of oders) and check the filter for more coins.

Q:

water leaks from the bottom in all cycles 11028082700 Kenmore Elite Residential washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer is leaking.

I would recommend checking the hoses to the motor and pump. You will need to find where it is leaking or what part it is close to when it leaks. It sounds to me like it may be the bearing, but it could be as simple as a kinked hose.

You can also visit searpartsdirect.com for parts, diagrams, and repair information.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
