Leaking washer 11027812690 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry about the leak on your Kenmore 110.27812690 Top Load Washer. There was a issue with this washer with mystery leaks that were difficult to find and determine the source.  Small amounts of water would accumulate on the tub ring during the wash cycle.  The water would leak over the edge and end up on the floor.  The washer should be level and the tub should be centered.  If the tub is leaning to one side then the counter balence spring may be broken.   The tub ring should be mounted correctly with all clips in place.  The fix was to replace the Tub Ring with a new and improved design.  A small amount of water might also leak from the drain pump where the motor shaft goes through.  The image below shows how to remove the cabinet so you can visually check the source of the leak.  I hope this information is helpful to you.  You can reply below with any additional questions for further assistance.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Kenmore series 80 model no. 110.27812690. The washer is leaking water I think it's tub seal. I ordered a new on along with a spanner wrench. I took the spanner nut off a cannot lift the inner tub out. I've spray a lot of wd40 and tried unsuccessfully to lift it out.. It won't budge. There are 4 tabs lower on the shaft that protrude thru 4 holes that I think May be preventing the inner tube from lifting but cannot figure a wat to recess them all at once. This may not even be the problem. I don't know what else to do. Can you please advise me? Thanks!

I am very interested in the answer to John's question just above. I am having the same problem. Are the 4 round, plastic tabs what is preventing removal?

Thank you for your answer but it does not address my problem. I cannot "b) Lift the basket off the drive block, and remove the basket from the outer tub." It seems to be frozen in place. I've tried for 2 weeks. I've sprayed lubricant. I've gently tapped the drive block with a hammer. No ,matter what I do it won't budge. Am I missing somethinG
