Q:

washer lid spring broken 11027152602 Kenmore Elite Residential washer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the washer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore washer model number 11027152602.

When the washer lid won't stay up on its own.  That is the hinge arm that holds and keeps the lid up.   I never known it to make a noise though so that part is strange.   The hinge arm is key number 14.   The part that makes the noise, I would assume would be the damper assembly, key number 10 on the same page.  It is the suspension kit. or the suspension balls on top which is key number 9.

Resubmitted question: "I heard one metal clang noise, and then the washer lid was heavy to lift and doesn't stay up on its own. What should I do?" Thank you for your help so far. I have a few more questions about the lid. First, could the clang noise have occurred when the hinge arm broke? Can a non-expert replace a hinge arm? If the lid feels heavy and won't stay up, do I just replace the hinge arm, or do I need to replace key numbers 9 and 10 (damper assembly and suspension kit)?

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

Overloading is a major cause of this error. If your washer does not give a uL with small loads or when empty, try adjusting the load size. Remove the basket and check for articles of clothing caught between it and the tub. Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. I have included an image below that demonstrates removing the basket. While you have the top up check the suspension rods and the cups they are inserted into.

This issue can be very frustrating to try and diagnose. I highly recommend having a trained service technician evaluate this problem. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or to purchase any parts needed; Sears Parts Direct .

Q:

Hi my name is jake, I'm working on this "oasis waher" mo.# 110.27152602 I would like to get the service manual, so I can see what the code f, means please help

A:

I am unable to send you a complete service manual but I can send you the relevant parts of the manual to deal with this problem.

The first image contains a list of the error codes you might see and there is no just "F" error code.

The 2nd image shows how to enter and run the diagnostic test cycle.

I hope this information is helpful to you. With more detail I would be able to assist you further with this problem.
