Q:

Kenmore Elite Oasis 11027152601 skips wash cycle 11027152601

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11027152601; it sounds like the control board may need to be replaced. The control board governs the cycles of the washer so when it fails it can cause the washer to skip certain cycles. I have posted a link of the washer to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details, I suspect the "User Interface" assembly is faulty. I recommend checking the harness connection first. It could have loose or bad connection where it connects at the User Interface and at the machine control board.

I added a couple of image below with the procedure of accessing and replacing the User Interface board. I also added an image showing which two pins to check for continuity when the Power Button is pushed. Testing the power button operation will require an Ohm meter.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link:Sears Home Services.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "oL" will flash if the washer control detects to large of a load. Since the "oL" displays with no clothes in the washer, then there is likely a friction issue in the drive system or the basket is not dis-engaging (not floating) after it fills with water. The basket should rise once the washer fills with water so that it does not engage and try to move along with the agitator when agitation begins. Once the washer drains completely, the basket should drop down and engage the basket drive hub so it can spin during the spin cycles.

Open the lid and see if you can lift the basket up and to see if will travel back down. If it does, then it could have a friction issue in the drive shaft assembly which is installed in the tub assembly.

Also, look under the washer and make sure the rotor at the bottom center of the washer. If something is under the rotor and is rubbing the rotor, it can display (oL).

I added a couple of images below with some useful information.

If the basket moves up and down freely, and it will rise once enough water enters to cause it to float, then I suggest calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair your washer.

Had Sears out this morning and they confirmed your diagnosis. The drive shaft was sieze up on the basket so that it could not float up and down on the shaft. Replaced the shaft and bearings and all is good. Cost $267.00. Still less expensive than replacing the washer.
