Q:

topload elite oasis makes loud noise on spin cycle

A:

Washers offer many opportunities for problems. Clothes get stuck between the tubs, socks end up in the pump or drain, etc. While you wait for the expert answer, you can check out a similar problem at another webs site that may give you some insight. I attached the link below. If you decide you do need repairs that you are not comfortable with doing yourself, an option I have while you are waiting on an expert to answer your question. I found this really great link in Manage My Life website. I attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with your washer. I suspect the bearing in the outer bearing is going bad. A bad bearing would cause a growling noise in spin. Yes, there is a bearing in the washer. In the parts list it does not show a bearing because it is part of the outer tub. Thats why when you checked they said there is not a bearing. I checked the warranty of the outer tub and it has a 10 year warranty but you would have to pay for labor. Sears must perform the labor for the part to be covered. The labor should be a flat rate of $129.00. Please ask about the flat rate labor when you call in to set up service. To set up service please call 1-800-469-4663

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

We were having the exact problem on our Kenmore 11027082603 washer. Technician came out this morning and ordered outer tub which as Mark T states is under 10 year warranty and $129 is not so bad when you look at the cost of the tub - $266.67 that is no cost under warranty!

Sorry, Mark T, but this is about the eighth conversation I've counted where you have responded to an Oasis owner and stated that you know of no consistent problem with the Kenmore Oasis he bearing. That just won't fly. We had the same problem with 110.27092603. Goodbye Kenmore.

I am having the same problem. During the spin cycle, the washer is very very loud. I have a service appointment with Sears but I am trying to determine if it is worth having another repair to this washer. The operator at Sears didn't show that the outer tub was covered by warranty. Does anyone know if it is?

Same issue here. I read Mark T's comments that the manual states there is no bearing - yet Mark says in fact there IS a bearing and SEARS can order it (for their repair people only??) Can't John Q Public order the same?? HMMM why would the manual not show this part when in reality there IS a replacement bearing.. Makes no sense to me. Anyway, my Wife and I bought this KENMORE washer/dryer set in early 2008 so 7 years with ZERO issues is not bad at all IMHO! A couple weeks ago this very loud noise during the high speed spin showed it's ugly head. I'm a construction guy and part time automotive mechanic so I knew the noise we hear is a bearing and I know I can do the fix if I can get the part. I am happy SEARS sponsors this Q&A, it really helps. I hope I can get the part.. We'll see.

Sears repairman is at my home now to replace the bearing he says is the problem. My machine is apparently not under warranty (he says it's a one year warranty) and will cost me $300. This will be the last Kenmore washer I buy--very disappointed in the washer. Also, the dryer had to be repaired because it started burning lint inside the dryer even though we clean the filter every time we dry and clean the outside vent. Never had these issues with older models of washers and dryers.

Q:

F1 fault code keeps reappearing on my kenmore elite oasis he 11027092603 Kenmore Elite Residential washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11027092603; The “F1” error code indicates that the control detects an out of range pressure signal. Check the pressure hose and make sure that the connection to the machine/motor control is not pinched or kinked, make sure there is no tear on hose. If the problem persist you may need to replace the electronic control board, I have posted a link of the control board to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Q:

Kenmore Elite stopped draining, stopped spinning, controls won't turn off 11027092603

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the error you’re having with the Kenmore Elite washer. I know how concerning that is to have happen.

Based upon your description, it sounds like the washer did actually drain. It just more or less got stuck in the cycle and became unresponsive. This type of issue is typically caused by a loose connection to the machine/motor control board, or the defective pressure switch or pressure hose.

I recommend that you unplug the washer and check the airline tube between the bottom of the tub and the connection on the main machine control board in the console. Check the air line for pinches or kinks. If you find no problems with the air line and the washer is draining properly, then you will probably need to replace that machine/motor control board. You won’t know for sure without proper testing of the components with a meter. In situations such as this where multiple parts are in question, we recommend having a service technician help assist with the diagnosis.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

I believe I found the problem. After draining it out and tipping it on its side, I looked around for anything obvious. The drain pump has two blue wires going into it, and one of them is hanging out of the black punch-block that slides into the 2-blade electrical connection for the motor. This looks like a special punch block (i.e. won't find it at the automotive or home repair stores). Would you be able to help me identify this black electrical connector/punch block and give me the part number to order a replacement?
