Q:

F1 code 11027087603 Kenmore Elite Residential washer

A:

The control is seeing an error in the signal from the pressure sensor circuit.

SOLUTION: There are four areas of concern that can cause the F1 Error Code. All four

areas need to be addressed to ensure that the repair is successful:

1) Air leak in the pressure switch hose.

a. Inspect the pressure switch hose for cracks, pin-holes or loose

connections.

b. If an air leak is detected, replace the pressure switch hose.

2) Moisture in the air pressure system.

a. Inspect the pressure switch hose system for evidence of moisture.

b. Replace the pressure switch hose if moisture is detected.

3) Lint or flashing in the air dome.

a. Visually inspect the air dome.

b. Use a small round device (small screwdriver) to ensure that there is nothing blocking the air dome outlet on the tub.

4) The control not sensing the water level correctly.

a. The control cannot be field tested for accuracy.

b. Replace the machine control board only after you have verified that there are no issues with the air pressure system.

A:

I checked for leaks in the air hose and the other items suggested and ordered the replacement control board. I installed the board and the washer has not produced the F1 code, but does beep throughout the cycle and the spin speed selector lights rotate while the remaining wash time fluctuates. The spin lights change between all three speeds - what now?

Q:

loud washer noise 11027087603 Kenmore Elite Residential washer

A:

I have the same problem the washing machine sounds like a jet taking off when is starts the spin cycle. The tub is also getting beat up on the top because it rubs against the lid. We called a repair man and he said just run it until it quits. The washing machine is only 3 years old I can not believe it is not fixable.
