A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model110-27082602; it would be best to call our repair department to have a tech go out. Mainly the black stains underneath is why I say that. It could be a bearing has gone out. Thing is you are also getting the SD error code. There could be more than one issue occurring with this unit.

Q:

Erro code Sd 110.27082602

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the Sd error code you're receiving on the washer. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

You've done all the preliminary checks by doing another load without detergent to make sure there aren’t excess suds. Since it doesn't appear to be a suds issue at this point, I suspect that you may have a problem with rust building up on the shaft of the motor that sticks up through the bottom of the tub. The spin basket is probably not engaging properly on that shaft. This can cause the Sd code when no foam or excessive suds is present in the washer.

In that situation, I recommend that you have a technician repair the washer. Since the drain pump runs and drains the washer, it will probably not be causing your failure.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Hey Josh, thank for the response. Is this something that I can fix myself. Can the shaft be cleaned of rust? If so how do I get to the shaft? What would I clean it with? Are there any videos for my model?
