Question and Answers

Q:

How can I open a Kenmore Elite washer model 110.26964503 to have access to the wash basket?

A:

The procedure for removing the top and cabinet is in the images below.

Your console is different than the one pictured in the 2nd image. Your console has two clips, see 1st image, which you release with a putty knife.

Once the console is flipped up then follow the instructions in the 2nd image to remove the cabinet.

The 3rd image shows some things to look for if the tub is not balancing. Check the 3 suspension springs, key number 3, are not missing or broken. Check the counterweight spring, part key number 12, is not broken.

There are 3 pads, part key 13, that sometimes can squeeze out that will cause the basket to sit crooked.

I hope this information is helpful resolving your problem but if you have any additional questions then submit another question with additional details for further assistance

Q:

Why is my Kenmore washer not filling with water correctly?

A:

The drain hose is too low & all of the water is siphoning out as it is filling. You need to raise the drain hose & secure it down so it won’t drop too far into the drain line anymore. Please see the image provided below for details.
