Q:

Washer Repair 11026962500 Kenmore Elite Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your unit is not spinning. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

When the agitator is not agitating it could mean that the agitator dogs have gone bad. You will need to remove the top cover of the agitator to check the parts.

If the unit will not agitate or spin then it is likely the cause of the motor coupling being broken.

First step is to remove 2 screws from the console front. There should be one on each side and they will be under the plastic end cap covers that will pop off. Then the console will flip back on hinges.

Then you will see two large clips that you will need to pop out with a screwdriver. They attach the cabinet to the rear panel. You will also need to unplug the lid switch wires that are in the cabinet top. Then the whole cabinet should come off revealing the rest of the washer.

The pump unclips but don't remove the hoses or you will get water. Then there should be two screws that hold the motor retainers in place remove those and unplug the motor. Pop off the motor retainers and the motor should come off revealing the motor coupler. part #285753A.

I have attached the image to get to the coupler.

Let me know if this helps,
