A:

Thank you for contacting Sears. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

I can understand the frustration of your washer not functioning properly, after researching model number 110.26892690. The issue seems like it’s coming from motor inside the timer. The motor cannot be replaced separately it will have to be the complete timer. Since the unit works when you manually turn the timer there’s a good chance replacing the timer well solve the issue you’re having. The part number for the timer is 3951769. The part is available on our website at SearsPartsDirect.com.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

How do I raise the top on this washer so I can replace the broken lid switch? Does not seem to have the usual clips you push with a putty knife. 11026892690 Kenmore Tb26-10- warm rinse

A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you.

Pull off both end caps of the console & remove the screws going down at a 45 degree angle into the top panel. Lift the console forward while flipping it back to its resting position. Unplug the 3 wire connector going down through the top panel. Use a large flat blade screwdriver to pry up the large metal spring clips securing the top of the cabinet to the rear panel. You should now be able to slide the complete cabinet off the frame of the machine. Be sure when you put the cabinet back in position, the tabs on the base fit into the aligning slots of the cabinet.

Q:

Why is my Kenmore washer not draining or spinning?

A:

From what you’re describing it sounds like the lid switch is faulty. Open & close the lid slowly & listen carefully for the click of the lid switch. Check the lid switch strike located on the lid; this is what pushes down on the lid switch located under the top of the washer. Other possibilities; timer & wiring harness problems.
