Series 80 Washer 11026862501 Kenmore Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your washer malfunction, after researching model number 110.2686250. it seems to me like the water inlet valve may be faulty,. The hot side is probably working fine, but the valve is most likely not opening properly on the cold side causing the issue to occur. I would suggest checking into the water valve. also make sure the screen at the end of the hoses that connect to the valve are clear with no buildup. The part number for the valve is 3979346.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when you can't do your washing as desired.

I am looking at your model 110.26862501.   I see you are having trouble with the clicking and vibrating noise per your model.   Looking in my system I believe you are having trouble with the basket drive block found under the tub.  While doing this work also.   Per insurance companies and us.  IT is recommended to change your water inlet hoses every 5 years because they go bad from the inside out.   You can loose around 500 gallons of water in just the space of a half  hour.

I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

Q:

How do I get inside a Sears model 110.26862501 washer that leaks?

A:

The entire cabinet of the washer will remove to check for this problem. The images below contain the instructions to remove the cabinet. The 2nd image shows your particular style console has clips instead of screws holding the console down. Remember to unplug the washer first.

With the cabinet off you should be able to identify the source of the leak. It maybe one of the hoses, the pump itself or if from the center the center post gasket.

Any parts you need can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

I hope this information is helpful to you in resolving this problem but submit another question with any additional detail for further assistance.
