Question and Answers

Q:

Washer will not spin (all of the time). Is that a timer, clutch or something else? 11026842694 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your washer malfunction, after researching model number 110.26842694. The most common parts to check when the washer wont spin pout. First I would suggest checking on the motor coupler. The coupler is what connects the motor to the gear case allowing the washer to spin out. The part number for the coupler is 285753A.  The other part to cause this issue is the lid switch. If the switch is bad it won’t allow the washer to spin. This part is like a safety feature for the unit. the part number for the lid switch is 3949238. I would suggest checking into these parts to solve the issue.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

*Safety disclaimer before you try and repair the unit make sure the power supply is disconnected. There may be sharp parts to the unit that can cause injury to you if not careful. If you don’t not feel comfortable checking this yourself you can request a technician by visiting www.SearsHomeService.com*

Q:

Washer will not spin 11026842694 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your washer and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 11026842694 and it seems like the motor coupler is damaged. Sometimes you are able to see shreds of black rubber under the machine. If you lean the machine slightly on its side you should be able to see. You should also be able to hear the motor humming if the coupler is broken and not coupler to the gearcase. If you can not hear the motor working the timer may be bad.  I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

If you have further questions please let me know.
Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I have a similar problem but am not sure if this is the cause. The spin works sporadically which appears to be related to the timer but other times it just doesn't spin. What are the symptoms related to bad coupler, clutch and timer? I do hear something running in the background.
