Q:

Washer will do everything but agitate 11026832692 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer will not agitate.

I recommend checking the agitator cluthes to see if they are broken. If they are broken then that will explain why your washer will not agitate.

Here is the part number for just the dogs. 80040

Example 2-piece agitator assembly

First step is to remove 2 screws from the console front. There should be one on each side and they will be under the plastic end cap covers that will pop off. Then the console will flip back on hinges.

Then you will see two large clips that you will need to pop out with a screwdriver. They attach the cabinet to the rear panel. You will also need to unplug the lid switch wires that are in the cabinet top. Then the whole cabinet should come off revealing the rest of the washer.

The pump unclips but don't remove the hoses or you will get water. Then there should be two screws that hold the motor retainers in place remove those and unplug the motor. Pop off the motor retainers and the motor should come off revealing the motor coupler. part #285753A.

I'm looking at your model number 11026832692 and from your description I would suspect that the strike on the lid item 20 in the diagram may not be touching the lid switch where it needs to in order to function. Here is a link that will help test the switch and determine if it needs replacing. I have included a link to our Parts Direct page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair.
